Tery and Daniel McCowan started their new and exciting venture which is Clachan Manse Bed & Breakfast in April 2018. We welcome families and couples alike. Applecross is a wonderful place to explore for anyone. With a wealth of beaches, several local walks, kayaking, photographic workshops, personal training workouts, group workouts, amazing places to eat and drink and lots more!
Tery
Originally from Edinburgh, Tery is the creative force behind Clement Design http://www.clementdesign.co.uk
Her printing and interior design business is based in the shop and studio opposite the B&B at Clachan Manse (applecrossinteriors.co.uk). A trained screen printer, she has designed a beautiful collection of contemporary Scottish wallpaper and hand-printed textiles, many of which feature throughout the Bed & Breakfast. From cushions and blinds to tea towels, placemats, mugs, and even the wallpaper itself — every detail reflects Tery’s distinctive style. As well as her own designs the shop has several locally made items to choose from.

Daniel
Born and raised in Applecross, Daniel began his studies in Mechanical Engineering at Strathclyde University before realising his heart lay in working outdoors. He retrained in joinery and now works full-time with his brother at McCowan Joinery. Their skilled craftsmanship transformed the annexes of Clachan Manse into our two beautiful double guest rooms, as well as Tery’s shop and studio
Tery & Daniel live in the manse along with their 2 lovely girls Freya & Phoebe who are ages 16 and 15, their black cat Bo and their dog Fynn. The family welcome you to Clachan and hope you have a wonderful stay here.
